Academic & Atrium Program

PRIMARY & ELEMENTARY

A Brief Introduction to Montessori

In her research, Dr. Montessori identified four stages of development from birth to maturity, which she named “planes”. Modern neuroscience has verified the truth of her discovery. In each plane, children possess intellectual powers, creative potential, and a social orientation unique to that plane. Each plane is characterized by how children learn in this stage of development. Thus, in the Montessori method, children learn best with others who are in their plane: 0-6 year-olds, 6-12 year-olds, and 12-18 year-olds (18-24 year-olds are in the fourth plane of development.)

The Academic & Atrium Program will provide
